Artist's Statement
I find inspiration in nature and different design elements seen on my travels. I have been painting with watercolor for over twenty years and continue to have a deep passion for their transparency. I love learning about pigments and their individual personalities. Cheerful colors allow me to infuse positive emotions into my paintings that reflect my personal view of life. I use vibrant, rich color in my works so that I can incorporate both transparent and granulating effects. I want my viewers to look at my paintings and be inspired to seek - and find - beauty in everyday life and everyday events.
